What makes the artistic ceramics of Cutrofiano highly appreciated is their exceptional impact resistance and ability to maintain their shine and vibrant colours. This is no coincidence, as they are made with MAR, High-Resistance Majolica. These ceramics are more than twice as resistant as standard ceramics, non-toxic, dishwasher safe, and microwaveable. Their brilliance remains unaffected even after numerous washing cycles lasting sixteen hours at 78°C, using harsh detergents.
Impact resistance
Various tests have been conducted on the artistic ceramics of Cutrofiano to demonstrate their impact resistance. In particular, using a 50-gram marble, the ceramics showed remarkable resilience when dropped from the maximum permitted height of 90 centimetres, unlike standard clays, which already exhibit glaze cracks from a distance of 50 centimetres and suffer complete breakage from drops at 65 centimetres. These specific characteristics have contributed to the popularity of Cutrofiano's artistic ceramics, which remain a small treasure of Italian craftsmanship capable of lasting over time.
